This policy outlines your rights and responsibilities when returning products purchased through AlienRamp.com. This policy operates in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions and Shipping Policy.
1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period for Consumers)
As a private consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase and return the product within fourteen (14) days without providing a reason.
- Period Begins: The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day you, or a designated third party (other than the carrier), take physical possession of the goods.
- Notification: To exercise this right, you must inform us via an unequivocal written statement sent to beam@alienramp.com before the 14-day period has expired.
2. Return Conditions and Customer Responsibility
Following your notice of cancellation, you have an additional 14 days to physically dispatch the goods to our designated return warehouse.
- Product Condition: The product must be returned in its original condition, unused, and undamaged. We strongly recommend returning the product in its original packaging.
- Inspection & Testing: You may inspect and evaluate the product only to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and basic fit (similar to inspecting an item in a physical store).
- Diminished Value: If the product is returned with signs of active use (e.g., tire/track marks on ramp surfaces, mounting scrapes), damage, or missing components, AlienRamp.com reserves the right to deduct the lost value from your refund. Due to the heavy-duty nature of vehicle ramps, actual loading use causes a substantial reduction in resale value.
- Risk During Return Transport: Contractual risk of loss, theft, or damage during return transit is borne entirely by the Customer. We strongly advise using a tracked and insured freight service.
3. Return Shipping & Import Duties
- Direct Costs: The Customer is responsible for all direct freight costs associated with returning the shipment.
- Freight Cost Estimate: Due to the large size and weight of ramp equipment, return freight costs can be substantial (potentially ranging from €100 to €500+ depending on destination, weight, and carrier service).
- Return Address & RMA: Goods must be shipped to our designated warehouse address. You must contact us at beam@alienramp.com to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and proper warehouse instructions prior to shipping.
- International Return Clearance (Non-EU / US): For return shipments originating outside the European Union, the Customer is responsible for arranging customs documentation to ensure the return is processed as an "Inward Return." Any import duties or customs handling fees levied on AlienRamp resulting from improper return documentation will be deducted from the final refund.
4. Refunds & Excluded Fees
- Timeline: We will process your refund within 14 days after receiving the returned goods at our warehouse or receiving verifiable proof of return dispatch.
- Refund Amount: We will refund the product purchase price plus the cost of our standard (least expensive) outbound delivery charge.
- Non-Refundable Charges:
- Premium or express outbound freight charges beyond our standard rate.
- Local import duties, customs taxes, and administrative fees paid directly by the customer to local authorities or carriers for DAP orders.
- Applicable Deductions: We reserve the right to deduct:
- Diminished value resulting from usage or transit damage.
- Outstanding administrative or storage fees under Article 2 or 3 of our Terms & Conditions.
- Payment Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used during checkout.
5. Exclusions from the Right of Withdrawal
The Right of Withdrawal does not apply to:
- Custom or Bespoke Equipment: Custom-built ramps manufactured to specific dimensions, angles, or custom load capacities.
- Personalized Modifications: Products modified or altered at the Customer's explicit request.
