Shipping Policy

This policy governs the shipment, delivery, and transfer of risk for products purchased through AlienRamp.com. This policy operates in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions.

1. Shipping Methods, Incoterms, Duties & Taxes

Delivery terms and responsibility for customs charges depend on the destination country and options selected at checkout:

1.1 Deliveries within the European Union (EU)

  • Status: EU orders are subject to statutory Value-Added Tax (VAT).
  • Customs: No customs duties or import fees apply within the EU single market.

1.2 United States Deliveries (DDP – Delivered Duty Paid)

  • Incoterm: Orders delivered to the United States are shipped Delivered Duty Paid (DDP).
  • Duties & Taxes: The Company arranges customs clearance, and the final price paid at checkout includes all applicable import duties, customs clearance charges, and taxes. The Customer will not be required to pay additional import fees upon arrival.

1.3 European (Non-EU) & International Deliveries (DAP or DDP)

For deliveries to non-EU European countries (e.g., UK, Switzerland, Norway) and other non-US international destinations:

  • DAP (Delivered At Place – Standard): Unless DDP is offered and selected at checkout, international orders are shipped Delivered At Place (DAP) (Incoterms 2020).
    • The Customer acts as the importer of record.
    • Shipping fees paid at checkout exclude local VAT, import duties, customs fees, and administrative handling charges levied by the destination country.
    • These fees must be paid by the Customer directly to the carrier or local customs authorities prior to or upon delivery.
  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid – Optional/Available at Checkout): Where DDP is explicitly selected and paid for at checkout, the Company collects estimated import fees and handles customs clearance on the Customer’s behalf.

1.4 Refusal of Delivery / Unpaid Customs (DAP Shipments)

If a Customer refuses to pay mandatory local customs fees or import duties on DAP shipments, resulting in the order being returned or abandoned, all return logistics costs, carrier charges, and administrative expenses will be deducted from any applicable refund.

1.5 Shipping Cost Calculation

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Dimensions and weight of the product (particularly for heavy-duty ramp equipment).
  • Destination address, accessibility, and region.
  • Selected service level (e.g., Standard Freight vs. Express/DDP service).

2. Processing and Delivery Times

2.1 Order Processing

Orders are processed and prepared for shipment only after full payment has cleared. Processing times are indicative and depend on stock availability and production schedules for specialized ramps.

2.2 Indicative Delivery Times

All estimated delivery dates are non-binding estimates. AlienRamp.com is not liable for delays caused by third-party freight carriers, customs processing delays, or Force Majeure events. Delivery delays do not entitle the Customer to compensation, discounts, or order cancellation.

3. Transfer of Risk and Transport Insurance

3.1 Risk Transfer Rules

  • Business Customers (B2B): Contractual risk of loss, damage, or theft transfers to the Business Customer as soon as the goods are collected by the freight carrier from our warehouse.
  • Consumers (EU/UK/US B2C): For individual retail consumers, transport risk transfers only upon physical delivery/receipt of the goods by the Consumer or a designated third party.

3.2 Transport Insurance & POD Notice

While transport insurance is arranged for shipments, immediate inspection upon delivery is mandatory to support insurance claims.

4. Inspection and Damage Claims Procedure

4.1 Immediate Visual Inspection

Due to the heavy-duty nature and weight of ramp products, the Customer (or recipient) must:

  1. Thoroughly inspect the outer packaging and products for visual damage (punctures, tears, severe box compression) immediately upon arrival.
  2. Document damage on the POD: Explicitly describe any visible damage on the carrier’s Proof of Delivery (POD) slip or digital device before signing (e.g., "Packaging torn, metal frame scratched"). Unspecific notes like "Subject to inspection" are not legally binding for carrier claims.

4.2 Concealed Damage

Any concealed defect or damage discovered after unpacking must be reported in writing to AlienRamp.com within 48 hours of delivery, supported by clear, high-resolution photographs of the product and packaging.

4.3 Claim Assistance

For B2B orders where risk transferred upon carrier collection, AlienRamp.com will provide reasonable documentation and logistics support to assist the Customer in filing insurance and freight claims.

5. Delivery Requirements and Site Accessibility

5.1 Freight Access & Unloading

The Customer is responsible for verifying that the delivery destination is accessible by heavy transport vehicles (e.g., semi-trucks/large freight vehicles). The Customer must provide appropriate offloading means (such as a forklift or adequate physical assistance) if required for heavy equipment.

5.2 Storage & Redelivery Charges

If a delivery fails due to restricted street access, lack of offloading capability, incorrect delivery details, or recipient absence, all storage fees, re-consignment fees, and redelivery charges billed by the carrier will be charged directly to the Customer.
